Designed and built the user interface and real-time dashboards of an industrial data platform, so that data from PLC, SCADA, CNC and other production systems is readable by the people who run production.
The challenge
FactoryDB.io develops an industrial data platform that helps manufacturing companies consolidate and analyse data from machines and systems on the production floor, including PLC, SCADA and CNC equipment. Its purpose is to turn complex, fragmented data into information people can act on: more transparent processes, lower downtime risk and data-driven decisions. That depends on the interface. The platform needed a graphical user interface and dashboards that display data arriving from sensors and industrial systems in real time, structured so that end users understand it.

How it worked
Double Helix worked with the FactoryDB.io team to clarify the requirements and then designed and built the user interface and the real-time dashboard solutions. The work concentrated on usability: turning streams of sensor data into structured views that make production data transparent to the people who work with it every day.
